Louis Evans 1916-2003

 

EVANS, LOUIS SYLVESTER, 86, of Bayonet Point, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, New Port Richey, Fla. Born in Monroe City, Ind., he came here 22 years ago from Washington, Ind., where he was a math teacher at Washington High School. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Mary Anne Dewey, Richmond, Ky., and Susan Evans, Indianapolis; a brother, Robert, and two sisters, Bess Biggs and Genevieve Evans, all of Vincennes, Ind; and two grandchildren. Louis was born on Dec. 12, 1916 in Monroe City, IN to John D. and Gladys E. Evans. Louis married Dorothy Weaver and had at least two children, Mary Anne and Susan Jane Evans. He served in the US Navy during World War II.

His wife, Dorothy, died on March 15, 2010 and is buried near Louis. 

Burial was in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Louis and Dorothy were cremated and their remains were entombed in a columbarium, in the same compartment:. 2B, row 7B, site 29. So, they are in columbarium 2 (of 4), section B (of A,B,C,D,E), Panel 7 (of 10), Row B (of A,B,C,D; bottom to top) and then the 29th site (of 50 across a row in this panel).
