Charles Noble 1928-2003

Charles Nicholson 'Nick' Noble, 74, died Oct. 16, 2003 in Beech Grove, Ind.

He was born Nov. 8, 1928 to Walter C. and Christine N. Nicholson Noble in Knox County, Ind.

He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He married Irma Evelyn Chattin on June 14, 1953. They had three daughters; Sandra Jean, Carol Ann and Brenda Kay.

He graduated with A.S., Vincennes, B.S. and M.S. from Purdue University. He taught auto mechanics, power mechanics and metal at Washington High School.

Surviving is one sister, Mary Alice Noble (Clifford W.) O'Brien, New Haven, Ind.

He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Washington along side his first wife.

He is preceded in death by first wife, Irma Evelyn (1999) and a daughter, Brenda Kay Noble (Kevin) Armstrong (1988 at 26). He later married Shirley Frazier and lived in Beech Grove.
